The inception of the Malaysian Real Estate Institute (MyREI) can be traced back to the formation of the Sustainable Urban Development (SUD) focus group on May 25, 2016; operating under the esteemed Department of Real Estate Management within the Faculty of Technology Management and Business. This pioneering initiative laid the groundwork for the official establishment of MyREI on September 12, 2021, with the dedicated mission to fortify the real estate sector through robust contributions in consultancy, advisory services, cutting-edge research, impactful publications, the estabishment of professional recognition centers, and fostering innovation in property sector education.
